Comparative evaluation of mechanical performance of steel slag and earthen granular aggregates

The diminishing quantity of natural resources has resulted in a search for alternative materials. Reusing industrial by-products, such as steel slag, provides opportunities sustainable highway construction practices due to the valuable space they occupy and potential environmental impacts when are stockpiled. In this paper, mechanical suitability slag an unbound aggregate is investigated, its performance compared with that traditional graded base (GAB) order compare behavior, three samples different aging properties five from quarries were employed. results indicate resilient moduli permanent.
